Stock and Bond Market Numbers - 2025

The popular Stock Market averages are down an average 7% from their recent All Time Highs and are currently at about the same levels as they were between July (NASDAQ) and October (DOW) of 2024. The average yield of the averages (SPY, ONEQ, and DIA) is a stingy 1.6%.

The Bond market as measured by BND (Vanguard Total Bond Market Index) is mid-range of where it has been since July of 2022 and yielding an almost as stingy 3.61%.

So as a retiree, how much erosion of “working capital” have you experienced using these Wall Street staple investment sources, and with virtually no spendable income?

High quality Equity and Taxable Income Closed End Funds (CEFs) are not down quite as much as the stock market averages and are yielding roughly 10.5% after all fees, mostly payable monthly, in-your-pocket spending/investing cash… multiples of the income being produced by advisor managed portfolios.

The Tax-Free Bond CEF contingent is producing 6.77% federally tax free, with some state specific funds yielding more than 7%.

So as a retiree (or income focused investor), you have been growing both your working capital and monthly income the entire time while your income has far exceeded your expenses... income independence!

Hmmmm... so what's in your pocketbook!?! And why haven’t your investment or accounting professionals told you about this extraordinary income productive (and significantly safer) form of stock market tradable security?

Don’t you owe it to yourself, your family, to learn about this income investing methodology? Sign up for the college level Income Investing course that will allow you to proclaim your Income Independence!

The DOW 30 - Really Interesting Numbers The DOW 30 companies (best in the world) pay shareholders about 3.30% of in-your-pocket income. Not one is in single digits, as most of them were in the past. My universe of nearly 100 high quality Equity Closed End Funds allows you to own all these companies and pays...

THE INCOME INDEPENDENCE COACH I'm sure we'll be discussing this in the November 13th Q & A, but here we are in a not so great profit-taking environment for the first time in several months. For many of you, this is your first such experience. You'll remembering me saying that it won't always be this easy!
