I'm sure we'll be discussing this in the November 13th Q & A, but here we are in a not so great profit-taking environment for the first time in several months. For many of you, this is your first such experience. You'll remembering me saying that it won't always be this easy!

Prices in IRE (Interest Rate Expectation) sensitive securities have pretty much stopped rising and all CEFs are IRE sensitive securities. Typically this has no impact at all on CEF distributions and it will probably allow us to reinvest a whole lot of D-Day distributions at lower prices than we have been over the last few weeks.

Those of you who have been "holding out" for higher prices, starting to fall in love with some "winners", or holding on to see how the election impacts prices, are learning a valuable investment management lesson.

Take some profits (or at least one) everyday; if there are only a few profits to be had, it simply means that there are more good investment opportunities available. Even the smallest of profits produces capital that can be used to reduce cost basis and increase yield.
